Double Wave Birka Cup 7 A replica of a forestThis vessel is based on a find from Birka, a Viking Age trading town in 10th century Sweden. It was likely of West Slav origin, probably traded from Eastern Germany or Poland. While the original was unglazed, low fired coarse ceramic ware, ours is made of dark stoneware, fired to 2200 Fahrenheit and glazed inside for use in modern daily life. From Birka grave number 825.
